100% of funds raised will go to autism programs in Utah!!

1 out of every 47 Utah children has been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, the highest rate in the country. In spite of these statistics, Utah ranks among the lowest of states to provide autism resources. The Autism Council of Utah is working hard every year to change that. Become a part of the change that is so desperately needed.

Projects & Programs:

•  Autism Specialty license plate passed legislation, funds to autism programs
•  Sponsoring several autism conferences, trainings, and workshops, including the Autism and Faith Summit, Adolescent and Adults Autism Summit, and Managing Difficult Behaviors.
• Representing ACU in several arenas such as Utah Autism Initiative (UAI), Governors Commission for Early Childhood Development, DSPD Lifespan Respite Coalition, Special Care Advisory Board, Special Educator, pediatric grand rounds, Utah Council for Exceptional Children, Autism Medicaid Waiver work group, Autism Treatment Fund Committee, Utah Autism Research Partnership at University of Utah, and others
• Collaborating with Utah State Speech Pathology, Utah Consortium for Special Education, Autism Genetic Research Exchange, Easter Seals, Utah Autism Coalition, Universities, State Departments
• Actively supporting legislative priorities such as URADD, Supported Employment, autism pre-school funding, high cost children in public schools, transition services, and adult programs 
•   Co-sponsoring and assisting in the training and distribution of the Law Enforcement Training video, Autism & Faith, ABC’s of Autism, and other grants to create training videos for parents and professionals

Our Mission:

The Autism Council of Utah is an independent Council working to foster collaboration, communication, and learning among families and agencies.  Our aim is to promote access to resources and responsible information for individuals of all ages who have, or are affected by, autism or related conditions. The Council will accomplish this by supporting statewide partnerships to collaborate on special projects, research and training.
