Autism is on the rise, about 1 in 68 children in the United States has Autism or a related disorder.  The estimate by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention represents an overall increase of about 289% over the last 12 years.  Studies have shown that children that receive early intervention have a 50% greatedr chance of moving into general education kindergartens but the special education system is challenging to navigate.

Autism Support Community was founded in 2010 by concerned parents and professionals.  We are proponents of the rights of people with developmental disabilities.  Our vision is to make sure that every student has access to the services and interventions that they need to reach the highest level of independence possible.

After learning to navigate the system with our own children, we began assisting friends at IEP meetings.  Since then we have grown to provide Council of Parent Attorney and Advocate (COPAA) Special Education Advocates (SEAT)Trained professionals at low to no cost to families.

We partner with schools to bring Olweus Certified trainers for bully prevention.  ASC expanded to provide inclusive social activities as Regional Center Resources cut services.
