Autumn's Reride Youth Ranch

Who We Are:

Autumn's ReRide Youth Ranch is a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Garfield, Arkansas. We seek to Rescue the equine, Restore the heart of the child, & Redeem hope for the family. We carry out this mission through our youth mentorship program and as a horse rescue. Since opening in 2009, we have rescued, adopted, or assisted over 100 horses and other animals. ARRYR is currently home to 17 horses, 7 sheep, 3 goats, 1 rabbit, 3 ducks, 3 geese, and some chickens. 

Our youth mentorship program is a FREE weekly day program open to all children ages 5-18 through the months of June-August. The children who visit us for sessions have come to love the ranch animals as much as if they are their own. The bond between the children and animals is something extraordinary, and real emotional healing takes place. 

Our Story:

Our founder, Rebecca Christians, named Autumn's ReRide Youth Ranch in honor of her daughter Autumn. Rebecca lost Autumn to suicide in 2002. Out of such a tragic loss and pain, Rebecca and her husband, Steve, have opened their ranch and hearts to reach children who struggle as Autumn did and keep her name alive. In the years that have followed Autumn's passing, the Christian family has been touched by the loss of suicide more than once, most recently through the loss of Rebecca's son Scott in 2021. The ranch organization is very vocal about mental health & suicide awareness and reaching people with hope and healing. 

WE NEED YOU!

This years NWA Gives goal is to raise $15,000. Mowing 20 acres is no small task and requires a riding lawn mower. The mower we've had for the last 30 years finally bit the dust this week, and we are in desperate need of a new one. Steve has done some research and found two options for us that are used but in good condition and will meet our needs. We need $3,000 to purchase a mower and we need it ASAP because they are active listings and will sell quickly!

Finally, it's going to cost us $12,000 to purchase the hay we need for winter 2024! We realize that spring has just started so winter feels a long way off, but this financial need is insurmountable for us to meet on our own. 

All funds raised during NWA Gives on April 4th will go toward the mower and hay.
