Continuing to grow Avery's Legacy

Avery Chauncey, was an 18-year-old resident of Corry, who bravely fought cancer for five years before passing away in October 2025. During that time, Avery created the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Avery’s Pawsitive Change Pet Food Pantry.

Our mission is to partner with local community food pantries to provide free supplemental pet food for families in need. By helping families feed their pets, we work to keep beloved pets in their homes and prevent them from being abandoned or placed in shelters. We believe NO PET SHOULD GO HUNGRY.

We are currently partnered with:

  • Corry Salvation Army

  • Corry Area Food Pantry

  • Union City Food Pantry

  • Edinboro Food Pantry

  • CFS Meadville Food Pantry

  • McKean Food Pantry

  • Erie City Mission

Through these partnerships, Avery’s Pawsitive Change Pet Food Pantry distributes over 5,600 pounds of pet food each month, feeding more than 1,300 hungry pets.

Each year, that’s more than 67,000 pounds of pet food, helping over 15,600 beloved family pets stay fed and remain in the homes that love them.

With your continued support, we hope to expand Avery’s legacy even further and feed as many pets as possible.

We are grateful for every dollar, and the pets are grateful for every meal. 🐾❤️
