Bethany Community Ministries

A nonprofit organization

Bethany Community Ministries strengthens the community at large using faith-based principles to provide equitable access to food, healthcare, and childcare.

Bethany Community Ministries (BCM) operates daily to meet the needs of the Homewood Community and beyond. Currently, we are feeding the hungry through Master's Kitchen, our weekly soup kitchen. Members of the community can come in to receive 2 freshly prepared meals to get them through the weekend. Through this program, we serve a over 100 seniors by delivering meals to their apartments. To further address food insecurity in our community, we hold a monthly food pantry at The Storehouse. This program is free to the community and is available in case of emergency at any time during regular business hours. DiSYPles, our summer youth program, provides a safe space for children to learn and play for seven weeks each summer.
BCM consoles and comforts families who grieve or those who may be experiencing illness through The Shawl Project. In this program, handcrafted afghans are made by volunteers and gifted to those in need. Our Soul Fit program addresses the holistic health and wellness of the community, by providing low impact, gentle workouts for seniors or those healing from injury.
Our Health Equity team serves address health disparities through culturally sensitive outreach.
