Mission

Bach Aria Soloists is the adventurous chamber music ensemble dedicated to presenting the genius and relevance of Johann Sebastian Bach, his contemporaries and those he inspired–through performances, collaborations and educational outreach.

Community Concerts

Bach Aria Soloists offer multi-genre collaborations in our critically acclaimed community concerts. Bach Aria Soloists provides free concerts throughout the season to introduce the community to the brilliance of Bach. The performances occur at venues such as the Central Library’s magnificent Kirk Hall and the Truman Forum in the Plaza Library.

Hauskonzerts

“Hauskonzert” is BAS’ celebrated house-concert series founded in the year 2000. Each concert is sponsored by a benefactor in their residence, creating the original setting for chamber music as Bach, himself, offered in his own home. Through the Hauskonzert series, Bach Aria Soloists offers the community the most magnificent music by the finest local artists in the most splendid residences in the city. There is truly no barrier between the musicians and the audience.

BachReach Education

Education to students is integral to our activities. Through our BachReach educational program, we offer a uniquely interactive, dynamic educational outreach for schools and members of the community. The exposure to BAS’ BachReach is an experience that unleashes the imagination of students who may otherwise not have a chance to hear live, high quality chamber music with engaging dialogue, inspiring their own interest in classical music. We offer a diverse number of BachReach programs ranging from tango to jazz to Shakespeare.

Through our BachReach program, we provide:

• Coaching to music students on chamber and orchestral repertoire
