Baja Power and Light Ministries works with volunteer groups from the U.S. and Canada to serve the needs of the working poor, primarily farm worker families, in Maneadero (near Ensenada) in Baja California, Mexico, just 2 hour drive from San Diego, California.  Projects undertaken include building comfortable, secure houses to replace their dirt floor, makeshift huts, adding on plumbing (with showers and flushing toilets) for houses already completed, and adding solar power systems to provide free electricity.

We assist with fundraising for these groups through crowdfunding and with grants for matching funds.  Groups are guided through the entire process from the time they get to the border, throughout the construction process, and on through their return to the U.S.  There are few things you can do that will impact a family's life in just a few days more than this.  Interested people can inquire about forming a group of their own, joining up with a group that is already formed, or by finding a group raising money and contribute to help make their plan a reality.  We work in cooperation with Calvary Chapel Punta Banda and Calvary Chapel Valle de Maneadero, and Pastor Carlos (Charlie) Abundes to assure that the neediest families are receiving the highest priority.  Join hands with us, and be part of this very satisfying work.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
