Bakersfield Master Chorale Inc

 

 

For more than 80 years, Bakersfield Master Chorale (originally known as Bakersfield Masterworks Chorale) and the musical talents of our singers have inspired, entertained, and enriched our community.  We provide scholarships to young musicians pursuing a degree in music. 

We are on a mission for the choral arts!  The mission of the Bakersfield Master Chorale is to provide a venue for the appreciation and awareness of choral music and choral arts education in Bakersfield and Kern County.

We ask you to help the flame of choral music burn brighter in Kern County.  Your support allows the Bakersfield Master Chorale to:

• Provide scholarships for talented local vocal students in their educational pursuits.
• Set aside discounted tickets for music students to attend local concerts.
• Sustain our Young Artist Development program allowing adult young singers to train with us during our concert season. For the 2015-2016 season, we will be training and offering scholarships to two sopranos, two mezzos, an aspiring conductor, and an accompanist.
• Serve as cultural ambassadors for our community here in the USA and abroad.  In 2010, we shared our Bakersfield and Kern County spirit while performing concerts in Italy including a special performance at The Vatican.  We are currently exploring collaboration with a sister city musical group in Bucheon, South Korea.
• Sponsor guest soloists and instrumentalists.
• Endow the Chorale's library of music.
• Build our endowment fund.

Ticket sales alone to our concerts cannot sustain the important mission of the Bakersfield Master Chorale.  That is why we value your generous tax-deductible gift that goes so far in building choral arts awareness and enrichment within our community.
