Ballet Folklorico De Riverside

Our goal is to give 30 of our dancers an opportunity to attend ANGF, a national folklorico dance conference, which will be held in Phoenix, Arizona in July 2018. Folklorico dancers of various ages and from across the nation, gather annually to immerse themselves in their preferred art form- Mexican cultural folk dance. Folklorico dance is more than just footwork and costumes. It is story telling through movement and music. It tells stories of challenging struggles, unexpected triumphs against all odds, and love conquests. Our dancers are eager and excited to be a part of this week-long intense instruction given by Maestros from Mexico.  Dancers will return to our Riverside community and share the material they learned as it becomes a part of our performance repertoire. This unique experience inspires our youth to continue to take part in this cultural folklore. We are working hard in fundraising events to bring this dream to a reality.
