Every Child Deserves a Chance to Play

Your donation can turn a financial barrier into a child's next athletic opportunity.

For many families, the cost of youth sports can be the difference between a child stepping onto the field — or watching from the sidelines.

At Ballplayers Foundation, we believe financial circumstances should never determine whether a child gets a chance to play.

We are a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping youth athletes and their families overcome the financial barriers that can prevent children from participating in organized sports.

And for us, it is not about talent.

A child does not need to be the best player on the team, a future college athlete, or a rising star to deserve an opportunity.

They simply need the chance to participate, belong, grow, and experience everything sports can teach them.

Our Impact

Since 2022, Ballplayers Foundation has provided:

191 individual youth athletes supported

324 athletic opportunities

59 ZIP codes represented

11 sports. Our athletes participate in sports including baseball, football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, dance, track, swimming, jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, hockey, and more.

Behind every number is a child who wanted the opportunity to play — and a family working hard to make that possible.

What Is an Athletic Opportunity?

Some of our athletes need help for one season. Others return to us as they continue their sport.

Every time Ballplayers Foundation helps a young athlete participate in a season, competition, tournament, or other eligible athletic activity, we count that as an athletic opportunity.

That means 324 times a financial barrier was met with an opportunity to keep playing.

More Than a Game

Sports give children more than a uniform or a place on a roster.

They teach discipline. Responsibility. Resilience. Confidence. Belonging. How to work toward a goal. How to be part of a team — and how to be part of something bigger than themselves.

They also give children a productive place to spend their time, surrounded by coaches, teammates, mentors, and communities that encourage them.

Those experiences shouldn't belong only to families who can afford them.

This Give Miami Day, Help us Create the Next Opportunity

Our Give Miami Day goal is $25,000.

For a family struggling to afford youth sports, even a few hundred dollars can be the difference between telling their child:

“We can't afford it this season.”

and

“You're playing.”

Your donation helps us turn financial barriers into athletic opportunities for children across our community.

$25 helps move an athlete closer to the field.
$50 helps offset uniforms or participation costs.
$100 helps cover a meaningful portion of a season.
$250 can make a major difference for one young athlete.
$500 can provide significant support toward an athlete's eligible expenses.

Every contribution matters.

Because when you support Ballplayers Foundation, you're not simply paying a sports fee.

You're giving a child the opportunity to participate, belong, grow, and play.

Help us create the next athletic opportunity.
