Why Support Baptist Health?

Patient Services
Private donations allow Baptist Health Louisville and Baptist Health LaGrange to go beyond the medical needs of patients to care for their spiritual and emotional needs, as well. Complementary therapies, such as massage and music therapy, are paid for by the Foundation. There are also hundreds of cancer patients, survivors and their families and children attending support groups made possible by donations to the Foundation.

Educational Assistance and Training
Baptist hospitals are committed to attracting the brightest students to careers in healthcare. Scholarship programs funded by the Foundation provide needed financial help to students seeking careers in the health field. Funds are also used to provide specialized training to medical staff and nurses, so that patients have the greatest level of expertise possible.

Hospital Improvements and Medical Equipment
The healthcare reimbursement system does not pay hospitals for moving or enhancing a facility. Therefore, many of our hospital improvements must be supported by private donations. Gifts to the Foundation enable our hospitals to expand services, finance new construction and purchase sophisticated medical equipment to meet the needs of our patients.
