Build A Rescue Kennel (B.A.R.K.) is establishing a medical/dental support program for Safe Haven Rescue Kennels (Safe Haven) aging dogs and new incoming dogs requiring beyond normal veterinary requirements.

Through this fundraising activity we depend on YOU. During the past few years, we have reduced our rescue efforts by 75%. Why? Safe Haven has tripled in long term and sanctuary dogs and the medical seniors (ranging in ages 8-13) have doubled the veterinary costs and reduced our ability to actively rescue the seniors at-risk.

Build A Rescue Kennel (B.A.R.K.) is a private 501.c3 organization doing business at Safe Haven Rescue Kennel on an acre in rural Yerington, Nevada. The facility averages about 23 dogs at any one time.  Safe Haven takes in at-risk or under-socialized dogs from rural at-risk rescues/shelters, breeders turned hoarders and failed sanctuaries.

We are a Rescue Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary facility. The vision has grown over time to give our dogs a comfortable place for decompressing and healing.  We believe our dogs regardless of age or behavior should thrive and enjoy a healthy life as though they were in a normal home environment and not homeless.  Regardless of finding a home outside of Safe Haven all our dogs are treated as cherished family companions and live in a home environment as best as we can provide.

Safe Haven outdoor housing are home-like atmospheres (from the traditional kennel environment). Dogs are housed in human size dog cottages (8'x'8'10’) within large enclosures (30'x30')
