Let's not let Covid-19 derail low-income students' educational journeys. Our scholars are in families who have lost jobs and incomes and are in danger of not paying tuition.
Meet Lesly, a 2018 scholarship recipient, tells how Covid-19 has impacted her college education.
“I’m a third-year college student at San Francisco State University who used to also work for SFUSD. I live with my mother and brother; we have all lost our jobs because of Covid. I am worried about my family here and also those in Guatemala; it is hard for me to provide for them when I’m also in need.”
Please know your donation will make a huge difference this year. Since its inception, our organization, which has provided 321 scholarships, wants to ensure deserving first-generation college students like Lesly can pay tuition, buy books, and graduate without delay.
