Bay Area Greyhound Adoptions

AND THEY’RE OFF……off the track and retired to a good home.  When greyhounds retire from racing they are often turned over to adoption groups such as Bay Area Greyhound Adoptions (BAGA).  BAGA is responsible for finding quality forever homes for these K9 athletes.   BAGA has been adopting out greyhounds for over 10 years and has placed over 1000+ dogs in their forever homes.  

And now about our furry friends; greyhounds are the most gentle, sweet and kind breeds around.  They are legendary for the gentle, quiet, docile nature.  Many people think because of their racing backgrounds, that greyhounds need a lot of exercise and room to run, etc.  That is not the case, even though they can get from 0 to 40mph in about 4 strides, these dogs have earned their reputation as the “world’s fastest coach potato”.   A few walks daily and they are happy to sleep the rest of the day away!
