This is just a sample of the wonderful things one Little Sister had to say about her Big Sister; however, her comments and feelings reflect those of so many of the children served by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Birmingham and our programs for at-risk youth. For more than three decades, we have seen first-hand the impact that a positive role model can have on the life of a child - bolstering self-esteem and improving the chances that they will find success in their academic, social, and family lives.
