Boston Community Leadership Academy (BCLA)

Boston Community Leadership Academy (BCLA) is a Boston Public Pilot School whose mission is to develop the capacity for leadership in all students, empowering them to make positive contributions to our communities.

To fully develop this capacity, we believe that students must achieve academic excellence and cultivate strong leadership principles.

BCLA has an exciting opportunity to move the Leadership Program to the next level by hosting an Americorps Fellow,who will coordinate internships and placements, as well as supervise school-based projects. With our fellow's help, our students will collectively provide 13,500 hours of community service to ur city. Students are working on ending homelessness and hunger, promoting awareness of LGTBQ rights, supporting the environment, and other grassroots organizing efforts.
