Girls deserve better than songs depicting them as things to be used rather than people to be revered. We’re tired of TV, radio, magazines, and other forms of media limiting our value, downplaying our abilities, and selling us short. We are here to encourage, collaborate, create, and inspire. Our bodies are NOT our currency. We are a grassroots organization made up of people who care about the self-esteem and well being of girls and are crazy enough to work for free.

We aspire to promote healthy self-esteem and positive body image by exposing the myths associated with media and showcasing real women and girls who have learned to love themselves.

To that end, we support and partner with existing organizations already reaching girls and young women in our backyards.

This year we held our 4th annual Be Bold Workshop for girls ages 9 to 18 featuring inspirational speakers, activities, and sharing on a variety of topics. Our bold girls did science experiments, hands-on automobile repair, coding, photography, film-making, and more! There were even sessions for the parents on paying for college, how to advocate for your kids in public school, health insurance, and talking to your kids about sex.
