Be Latino Corporation

Be Latino Corporation, a non-for-profit, a 501 (c) (3) organization established to help the Hispanic community of Calhoun County and surrounding areas has provided services to more than 5,000 individuals since its foundation in August 2002. By strengthening the relationship between the American and Hispanic communities, we have worked on facilitating meaningful ways to reach cooperation and understanding in the realms of education, civics, labor, health, culture and legal matters in a collaboration effort with other local community-based organizations and state agencies for those services to be efficiently delivered.

Due to a fire, we were forced to vacate the facilities we occupied for over 5 years. Despite these circumstances, we have continued delivering  services to our Hispanics on the satellite basis. Domestic violence, education on civics, English as a Second Language, immigration, job placement and healthcare are the main concerns we are currently addressing, with assistance in all aspects. Interpretation and transportation services are also provided to help all individuals reach the resources that supply their needs.

We are in a great deal of urgency to open our doors again. We wish to provide immediate assistance to our Hispanic people, where they feel comfortable and safe to release their agony and concerns; where we can gather with colleagues, partners and other local and outside community representatives to share ideas that lead to reasonable solutions intended to impact our society in a positive way; where we can continue Making the Difference in Our Community.
