Becoming You

Becoming You connects individuals, families, and organizations to resources, coaching and training designed to promote positive life changes.

Becoming You began in 2014 as the need for parenting classes in the community became evident.  Becoming You began providing free and low cost parenting classes to individuals who wanted to learn new skills to assist with the challenges in raising children.  Through these classes, it became evident that individuals wanted or needed more than just parenting support in their lives. They had goals, dreams, and hopes for their future and for their family, but didn’t know all the resources to help accomplish those things.  Becoming You expanded and began helping connect individuals and families to community resources and provided life coaching as well as additional training that would help them reach their dreams. 

Becoming You continued to provide community support by expanding to offer consultation and training to organizations that work with children and youth.  Private training, as well as training at early childhood and educational conferences, provided support for teachers and administrators who were looking to learn new skills when working with children and youth.  

Particular attention and support has been offered by Becoming You to individuals and organizations who work with children with extreme challenging behaviors.  From physical and verbal aggression, withdrawn behaviors, non-compliance, inappropriate social skills, impulsiveness, low self-esteem, and a variety of other challenging behaviors, Becoming You has been able to offer insight and help.  Children with past trauma and mental health needs such as ADHD/ADD, PTSD, ODD, RAD, DMDD, SPD, ASD, FAS, or other anxiety and depression, have been able to receive support based upon their particular and individual needs. Becoming You is dedicated to helping the child, the parents, and the professionals who work with them.

With a large variety of supportive services for individuals, families, and professionals, Becoming You is strengthening the community one person at a time.
