Beds for Kids Inc

Beds for Kids mission is to provide beds and essential furniture to children and their families in need. In 2010, a group of individuals delivered furniture to a family who had recently transitioned out of a Charlotte shelter and into a home. Realizing this family was one of thousands who were moving into housing and were in need of beds and other essential furniture, the idea of Beds for Kids was born. In 2011, Beds for Kids officially became a 501(c)3 non-profit. Initially operating out of a 30’x10’ storage unit off South Blvd., Beds for Kids provided 282 beds to children and families in need their first year. Fast forward to today, Beds for Kids has served 30,545 individuals and provided over 23,000 beds. We partner with over 65 different organizations in Charlotte who work with families and support their journey to housing stability. It is our belief that all children deserve the opportunity of a good night's sleep and access to a bed.
