Bees in the D

This is the SIXTH year for Bees in the D® as we care for our 200+ honey bee hives and introduced millions of new bees into their new homes across Detroit and South East Michigan.  Bees in the D® remain committed to our mission of educating on the importance of honey bee colonies and other pollinators in our environment. 

Every day of the year, but especially now, our organization works to support the communities we serve. Our organization is committed to ensuring that we are able to continue helping the conservation of honey bee populations and other native pollinators, but we need your help.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Please help us at any level – we know many are suffering economically and any amount is meaningful! If you are able to, please consider supporting Bees in the D® in any amount that you can. Your gift will help provide immediate financial support to recoup lost fundraising efforts we normally would be able to receive during this time. 

- $50 provides one Varroa mite treatment for 10 hives

- $100 provides gas money for our 4 beekeepers traveling to care for all of our hives

- $150 provides a package of 3,000 new bees to introduce to a new hive

- $400 sponsors an already active hive for a season 

- $1000 sponsors a brand new hive for a season
