Belchertown Day School Inc

Belchertown Day School is a private nonprofit NAEYC accreditited school that provides early education and child care for children ages 15 months through 12 years old.

The goal of Belchertown Day School is to provide a happy, homelike environment in an educational setting while developing the whole child through social awareness and prepares a love of lifelong learning.  We take pride in serving children whose families need a high quality child care program while they are at work.  We welcome families of all backgrounds. 

The Board of Directors has been discussing what direction we would like to take the school for the future.  BDS has been located at our current facility at 51 State Street since 1985.  The building has been leased from the town since its construction.  As many of you may have noticed, there are needs to update the building cosmetically and functionally.

As of the last Board of Selectmen's meeting, the town has decided they will not renew our lease on a long-term basis, providing us with a catalyst to move our plans forward.

The town has committed to assisting BDS with transiting to a new location.  In the meantime, the Board is actively moving forward on relocating BDS to a new space.  We are looking at several spaces within a half mile radius from our current location to ensure continued convenience of service in our future home.  We are actively seeking funding options for this project.
