Bello Machre is opening a new fully accessible home to break ground this summer.  All of the money raised through the Great Give will help to purchase equipment, furniture, household items, and everything else that is needed to welcome new people into our Bello Machre family.

Jennifer’s beautiful smile gives me hope!  She had lived with her mother all her life.  Two years ago on Christmas day, her Aunt Connie stopped by for a visit.  She opened the door to find that her sister had passed away and Jennifer, alone in the house for days, was fighting for her life.

She was rushed to the hospital with dehydration and hypothermia.  After weeks in the hospital, her body was slowly recovering, and she was transferred to a rehabilitation facility.

Can you imagine what she must have felt?  I can only imagine her confusion and fear.  Her life was thrown into chaos.  That’s when we received a call from Jennifer’s Aunt Connie.  “I was scared as to what the future would hold for Jennifer.  But, when I spoke to George in Bello Machre’s Support Services, I immediately felt his concern and compassion.  I knew everything would be okay.”

Jennifer, who now lives at Bello Machre’s Kensington home in Severna Park, Maryland, is more than okay.  Her smile says it all.  I believe it’s a smile of hope.
