Belmont Child Care Association Inc

The mission of the Belmont Child Care Association, Inc. is to provide a safe, supportive, and academically inspiring environment for the children of parents working in the thoroughbred racing backstretch area located at New York’s historic Belmont Park, Aqueduct Racetrack, and Saratoga Race Course.  We are committed to promoting early childhood education, molding young minds, and encouraging the fulfillment of dreams.

BCCA was established in December 1998 to create an on-site child care center at Anna House for the working families at the New York Racing Association’s thoroughbred race track. The purpose of BCCA was to coordinate the building of the child care center, select an independent, licensed child care provider to operate the center, and to undertake fundraising efforts to both initiate and ensure the continued operation of the center. In January 2003, Anna House opened its doors and made it possible for both front side and backstretch employees at Belmont Park and Aqueduct Racetrack to use the center. BCCA provides many families (including families from the local community) with access to a high quality, state-of-the-art center which enhances the emotional, social, and educational development of their children. 

Located at Belmont Park at Gate 6, Anna House provides an early childhood education program for children between the ages of six weeks to five years of age. BCCA’s early childhood education and development program incorporates a steam (science,technology, engineering, art, math) based curriculum to prepare our 75 children for elementary school. The Olivia’s Herd after school program provides us with the ability to be a continual resource to our graduates as they return for free after school tutoring during elementary and middle school. In addition to our early childhood education program, Anna House assists over 100 children throughout the year through our Olivia’s Herd after school program for elementary and middle school students, and our school-age program where children join us for enrichment activities early in the morning before school begins, on weekends, and during school holidays.
