WHY Support  BEST of Texas Robotics?

BEST of Texas Robotics is a dynamic middle and high school program dedicated to preparing young people for STEAM excellence and workforce readiness. What sets our program apart is that it’s offered at no cost to public, private, charter, and homeschool students. We believe every student, no matter their background, deserves access to high-quality STEAM education. This is where your support matters most.

Our mission is to equip students with the skills needed to tackle future challenges in critical industries like aerospace and semiconductors. This year’s Low G season, focused on missions to the Moon and Mars, aligns perfectly with the national focus on technological innovation.

Our students transform everyday materials—like plywood, PVC pipes, and screws—into extraordinary machines. Using components such as irrigation valve covers, piano wire, BRAIN programmable platforms, and micro-energy chain systems, they build functional robots capable of completing specific tasks within three minutes. In just eight weeks, they turn these raw materials into impressive machines.

Through BEST of Texas Robotics, students gain vital skills for the semiconductor and aerospace industries. They learn programming, coding, and cybersecurity—critical for developing advanced semiconductor technologies. By simulating space exploration and satellite design, students gain real-world experience applicable to aerospace careers. Precision engineering, automation, and quality control are central to both aerospace and semiconductor sectors, and our program provides students with hands-on practice in these areas.

We also emphasize renewable energy systems and smart grid technologies, key to the aerospace industry’s shift toward sustainability. Students work on robotic systems for assembly and maintenance, preparing them for roles in semiconductor fabrication and aerospace manufacturing. Additionally, collaboration, communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, and following complex directions ensure students are ready for the high-tech industries of tomorrow.

But this incredible program isn’t just about machines—it’s about the future of our students. Many of those we serve come from Title 1 schools, where teachers already stretch limited budgets to cover transportation and lodging, often leaving nothing for meals. That’s why we need your help to Feed the Future Innovators. By providing meals at our Championship, you ensure that students can focus on learning and competing without the worry of going hungry.

As a former principal, I’ve seen firsthand how dedicated teachers are to their students. They often pay out of their own pockets to make sure kids have what they need to succeed. But they can’t do it all alone. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help feed 3,500 students during the Championship. Every $15 donation feeds one student, giving them the energy and focus to compete at their best.

Your donation not only provides a meal—it supports a student’s dream and lifts the burden off teachers who are already giving so much. This investment in the future workforce helps nurture the next generation of engineers, programmers, and innovators.

Your donation is more than just financial support—it’s a testament to your belief in education, innovation, and community. Join us in empowering young minds, supporting dedicated teachers, and shaping the future of STEAM. Together, we can ensure every student has the chance to excel, and every teacher has the support they deserve.
