Bethany House Christian Service Center Inc

  Bethany House was founded in 1982 by Glenmary Missionaries. For the past 31 years we have continued to serve families in Carter, Rowan, Lewis, and Elliot Counties in Eastern Kentucky. We are located and opeerate out of the 106 Hillside Street building where we were originally established. We are an emergency food, shelter and basic needs agency. 

         It is our desire to be an example with leading programs that change the lives of our clients, in order for them to become self-sustaining. We aim to create opportunities that will enable them to help lift their family out of poverty.

It is our mission to help families create achievable goals and support them by following through with those goals which can lead to life changing outlooks.Our goal is to not turn any person or family away that may need our help. We also act as a resource center for other services. 

      As you know a positive outlook can change the way we view the world and our current situation, without basic needs it is hard to realize ones dreams and goals. If we can make a difference in one family and help them see that all things are possible. Then, we can change the world one family at a time.
