Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Santiam

Last week over 400 Lebanon children a day, attended afterschool activities at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Santiam – thanks to donors like you!  Because of your support, East Linn County kids have a place where they can be kids, and where their parents know they are being mentored, kept safe, receiving academic support, AND having a great time.

 Some of the children who attend the Club are living in less than ideal situations like Colton.  Colton lives with his grandma.  Grandma loves Colton and does her best to provide for him, but it’s not easy to make ends meet and often she doesn’t have a lot of energy left at the end of the day.  Colton comes to the Club every day, riding the bus on school days and walking on non-school days.  While he’s at the Club he gets to be Colton the 9 year old. He plays, laughs, has a great meal, and gets his homework done – things that aren’t guaranteed at home.  While not all Club members live in situations like Colton’s, many do.  Thanks to you, these families have the Boys and Girls Club. 

Your support is important – it provides an immediate resource for families and children in the community. Over 3,000 children will access programs and services at the Club this year.  As the only organized afterschool program in East Linn Cuonty the Club is playing a pivotal role in the future of the region.  Your gift this holiday season will help us continue to support Colton and other children who depend on us.
