Bear Valley Meals on Wheels Inc

There are many people who are either on a limited fixed income or have medical issues that prevent them from being able to go out and food shop or cook for themselves.

The Bear Valley Meals on Wheels Program offers not only meals delivered to the recipients' doors, but Monday through Friday, a different volunteer comes to their doors with a smile and a hello!  For some of the recipients, this is the only human contact they may have on a daily basis.  The families of these shut-ins are grateful for the program as they know that their loved ones are being looked in on at least once a day.  The volunteer drivers have emergency phone numbers available to them in case there is a need to call for help in times of need or distress.

The Giving Tuesday fundraising program is very helpful to the Meals on Wheels Program, as many of the recipients are not able to pay the $160.00/month for the meals.  In order to be sure that no one goes without, that is eligible, the money raised by Giving Tuesday will assist with those that cannot pay.

Our Board of Directors and delivery drivers are strictly volunteer and we are not associated with any State or County program.  We are funded only by donations from generous people like you.
