Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County is dedicated to helping children reach their highest potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships with volunteers.

The vision of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County is to provide successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools and stronger communities for all.

Big Brothers Big Sisters has several mentoring programs. The community-based program matches carefully-screened adult volunteers with children between the ages 6-14.
The matches spend a few hours a week or every other week doing the activities they enjoy the most. Our case management team provides matches with support, guidance, and monthly match activities to bring everyone together.

The other mentoring program available matches juniors from Deerfield Academy and Northfield Mount Hermon School with children ages 6-11. The matches generally last two years until the "Big" graduates. The case management team carefully screens all potential volunteers wishing to become mentors. Match meetings take place on Friday nights throughout the school year, with our staff on hand. The children enjoy the time with their "Bigs" and make lasting connections with mentors who positively impact their lives.
