Imagine a Cleveland where every street is safe for cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists alike. Your donation will fuel our initiatives, from advocating for connected bike networks and protected bike lanes and traffic-calming measures to providing safety education in our schools and communities. Every dollar you contribute brings us closer to a city where biking isn’t just a mode of transportation, but a way of life that promotes health, sustainability, and community connection.
Bike Cleveland is taking bold strides to transform our streets into safer, more vibrant places for everyone. With your support, we've launched programs that educate, advocate, and inspire a city-wide commitment to safe environments for biking and walking. Some of our key accomplishments include:
Advocacy: We advocate for safe, car-free transportation options through infrastructure and public policy. To date we have advocated for over 130 miles of new bike lanes and trails and policies that make our streets safer for people biking and walking, like Complete Streets and safe passing laws.
Community: We bring people together from all parts of the city to experience riding and walking, engage with new ideas, and to show support for car-free transportation. Through our resident-led Better Street Committees we are elevating resident voices for safe streets through traffic calming street painting and organizing residents to push leaders for safe streets. We have engaged over 100,000 people over the past 13 years in our community rides and signature events that bring people together to experience our city on a bike and build community.
Education: We educate people of all ages and abilities so they have the tools they need to safely experience the city by foot and by bike. To date we’ve taught over 3,000 youth and adults through our various bicycle education programs. We’ve also distributed over 2,000 light sets through our Random Acts of Brightness program, helping people without the financial means for costly lights to stay safe and legal while riding at night.
But our work is far from over. We need your support in the Rocket Community Challenge to continue to advance our mission of creating a region that is sustainable, connected, healthy, and vibrant by promoting bicycling and advocating for safe and equitable transportation for all.
Join us on this exciting journey! Your generosity today will ensure a safer, healthier, and more bike-friendly Cleveland for generations to come. Donate now and be a part of the movement that’s pedaling towards a brighter future.
