Bill Petravage Memorial Foundation Inc

The Bill Petravage Memorial Foundation was founded in the fall of 2009 and Incorporated in December 2009. The foundation was created by a group of Bill's friends who are dedicated to assisting young people in crisis with the hope of reducing the number of suicides in that age group. Bill took his own life in April 2001 and the memory of that event and the feelings of loss and frustration have remained with many of the people he left behind. Rather than trying to bury those feelings or reject them some of us have decided to embrace them and put them to good use, thus the foundation.

We focus our energy on supporting teens and young adults by providing a scholarship for a graduating senior at Turners Falls High School as well as donating funds and equipment to several local agencies and organizations, such as The Brick House and DIAL-Self.
