Birthright of St. Charles

Birthright is a free and confidential assistance service for any girl or woman who is facing an untimely pregnancy. Birthright St. Charles offers a positive alternative to abortion and is available to all pregnant women regardless of race, creed, color, economic or marital status. Birthright offers free hospital grade pregnancy tests with immediate, accurate results. Regardless of results each woman will visit with a Master Level professional counselor to determine each woman's needs and provide her with helpful information on all choices, future planning and goal setting this and future appointments are provided at no cost to the client. Follow-up phone services are provided by volunteers, giving ongoing help and encouragement. BR provides support through referrals to community resources, maternity clothes assistance, social service connections, housing and educational resources, baby care items and other practical aid.
In 2022 BR has served 589 women and families; Provided 157 medically approved pregnancy tests; Conducted 527 hours of Master's level professional counseling, Assisted with $139000 of direct financial assistance; conducted 772 counseling appointments offering compassionate mental health support; celebrated 99 reported baby birthdays and distributed 223 mom self-care gifts and 231 baby care packages.
