Black Women Network

A nonprofit organization

 About Us

Black Women Network (BWN) is a testament to the resilience and innovation of Black women entrepreneurs who have long made an impact through networking despite systemic underinvestment. We exist to bridge the funding gap by providing the resources, services, and support needed for these thriving entrepreneurs to continue making a difference.

 The Mission

BWN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to:

   Promoting collaborative entrepreneurial thinking

    Fostering holistic wellness

  Expanding equitable funding access

  Increasing knowledge in high-growth industries

Emerging as a research institution to address systemic barriers and advocate for funding increases for Black women entrepreneurs.

A National Mission for a National Problem

Black women lead the nation in starting businesses yet remain the most underfunded demographic. This lack of investment not only holds back entrepreneurs but also impacts entire communities through missed opportunities for growth, innovation, and employment.

BWN is committed to solving these systemic holdbacks by serving as a bridge between Black women entrepreneurs and the organizations that promise funding. Our work ensures accountability and increased support for a better, more equitable future.

When Black women succeed, we all succeed.

What Are BWN’s Goals?

  • Equitable Investments: Lead Black women entrepreneurs to equitable funding access through partnerships and open pathways to necessary resources.
  • Accountability Through Research: Conduct research to identify systemic barriers and ensure that organizations promising funding deliver on their commitments.
  • Business Consulting: Empower business owners and nonprofit leaders through customized redevelopment strategies.
  • Tech Adoption & Education: Provide professional development in high-growth industries to futureproof businesses.
  • Collaborative Networking: Offer safe, dynamic forums for Black women entrepreneurs to share, connect, and grow.
  • Futureproofing: Empower the next generation through holistic self-care, workforce development, and inclusiveness initiatives.
