BlazeSports America

BlazeSports is the legacy organization of the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games.  Over the last 20 years, we have worked hard to provide adaptive sport and recreation programs for individuals with physical disabilities in Metro Atlanta and Georgia. BlazeSports is one of only a handful of organizations to fill this critical need especially given the long lasting benefits of regular physical activity. Our mission is to change the lives of children, youth and veterans with physical disabilities through participation in adaptive sports. We see first hand the direct benefits of better fitness,  greater independence and confidence, making lifelong friends, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership.  Our veterans feel less isolated and more like they are part of a family. Participants also receive leadership training, academic tutoring, and internship and employment opportunities so that they excel off the field of play as well.
