- Following a short-term mission trip to Asia summer 2009, my wife Janice and I made a brief visit to Vietnam. While there, our hearts turned to the people in a most dramatic way. We had never considered returning to a communist and poor country. When we left, we vowed never to return. And yet, God has opened our eyes to the unreached people there. He has challenged us to leave a comfortable life and take up the challenge of living a life of significance for the lost and for the believers in our home country. After our initial visit in August, we returned in November to witness the work God is doing in North Vietnam. God opened wide the doors for us to return. In February 2010, we traveled to Vietnam for one month to meet with many pastors and leaders I know as well as research the various avenues of collaboration and partnership. The vision God has implanted in our hearts has now become Bless Vietnam Intiative .
