Who We Are

BloomAgainBklyn upcycles unsold and once-used flowers to break the isolation and loneliness of those in need among Brooklyn’s most vulnerable populations. BloomAgain’s 1,500 diverse volunteers create over 400 flower arrangements a week and deliver them in person to residents at health centers, homebound seniors and to former trauma and homeless victims.

BloomAgain sponsors flower workshops for community groups, schools and corporations that bring together at-risk youth to low income, new immigrant, Hispanic and minority communities to create arrangements together, build friendships and facilitate community-building. The organization recycles flowers from weddings and corporate events that are upcycled for those in need. Since 2015, BloomAgain has diverted more than 1.3 million flowers from the solid waste stream creating over 85,000 arrangements for close to 18,000 recipients.
