Blue Channel Therapy

A nonprofit organization

Blue Channel Therapy (BCT) was founded in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic to address severe, ongoing gaps in children's behavioral health care throughout the Denver Metro region. BCT’s vision is to reverse the impact that adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) have on current and future generations by increasing access to affordable, high-quality mental health therapy provided by therapists trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, an evidence-based trauma treatment.

Within three years, Blue Channel Therapy has expanded to 3 offices in Arvada, Aurora and Northglenn to serve most of the counties in the Metro-Denver Area. We implemented a strong internship program in collaboration with local universities and initiated an externship program to develop and train pre-licensed therapist to help meet Colorado's high need for therapists/counselors who treat low income children.  In the last year, Blue Channel Therapy has served over 500 clients, 75% of which were Medicaid beneficiaries/Imatter program, about 15% were pro bono/sliding scale due to being uninsured/underinsured.
