Blue Rising

Blue Rising is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) non-partisan nonprofit working to protect youth from the escalating threats of high-potency marijuana, fentanyl poisoning, social media harms, and youth violence. Through policy advocacy, education, and peer support, Blue Rising drives system-level change while equipping families to take action.

Founded in response to a growing youth mental health crisis and the normalization of dangerous substances, Blue Rising addresses how these issues intersect. Social media often glamorizes substance use, facilitates access to dangerous and deadly drugs, enables unlawful firearm sales, and contributes to the growing mental health and addiction crisis among young people. 

Through policy advocacy, education, and direct outreach, Blue Rising equips families, students, medical professionals, and civic leaders with the tools to drive change. By centering lived experience and building cross-sector coalitions, the organization is creating a future where young people are protected, supported, and empowered to thrive.
