Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging's mission statement is to develop or support a system of coordinated and comprehensive services for older individuals that promotes a safe, healthy, and independent lifestyle.

Since 1974, we have joined in a collaborative effort to assist, protect, and advocate for elderly Nebraskans so that they may choose the community-based living options that suit them best. Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging continues to be a vital local resource for seniors aged 60 and over in our service area. Serving Southeast Nebraska in Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, and Thayer County.

We believe in assisting older adults to remain safe and independent in their homes.

We also believe in creating independence through self-determination. Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging provides more than just an individual approach that you won't find in an institution. We go beyond services and offer personal interaction, suggestions, and assistance. That means less stress for you and lower cost, as well.
