Blue Star Mothers of Maricopa, AZ 7

Our ongoing mission is to honor and support our active-duty military, our nation's veterans, their families, our Gold Star Mothers and families, and to promote patriotism in our local communities.

Blue Star Mothers of Maricopa, AZ is a local chapter of Blue Star Mother of America, Inc. We are a Congressionally chartered Veteran Service Organization and a 501c3 non-profit. Our members are mothers of children who are serving or who have served in the U.S. military and we currently serve Pinal, Pima, and Maricopa counties.

We have several missions that require partnerships from local community partners to be successful. Our largest mission is preparing Packages from Home for our active military members. These are care packages sent to all corners of the globe and contain requested basic care items like razors and feminine products in addition to morale boosting supplies like a fresh pair of socks or cookies. We send about 200 packages a year and each package costs about $50 to fill and ship.

We also support our nation's veterans by participating in community events honoring our veterans such as parades or seasonal events like Wreaths Across America and we also volunteer at our local VA care facilities. We couldn't do any of what we do without support from our community partners like you!
