Bluegrass Ovarian Cancer Support

Founded in March 2008 by a handful of gynecologic cancer survivors, Bluegrass Ovarian Cancer Support Inc.'s primary goals are to increase awareness of ovarian cancer in the community and among medical professionals and to offer a forum for sharing experiences, knowledge and assistance to women who face the unique challenges of these types of cancers.

Our activities in the Bluegrass include:

• Monthly support group meetings
• Assembly and distribution of care bags to women undergoing chemotherapy
• Community awareness events in the area
• Survivors Teaching Students (R), a series of local seminars to students in the healthcare field to raise awareness from a medical professional's view
