The Lighthouse in Canyon County along with River of Life Men's Shelter in Boise offer emergency services such as meals, shelter and clothing in addition to education, work-search assistance, mental health, counseling, addiction recovery (New Life Program) and the Veterans Ministry Program.

Valley Women and Children's Shelter recently opened in Nampa providing emergency services to homeless women and children in Canyon County as well as those fleeing domestic violence.
