Bonner County Homeless Task Force

Bonner Homeless Transitions (Bonner County Homeless Task Force, Inc) was founded in 1991 and opened its first shelter in 1994 in Bonner County.  Since then, we now have 2 transitional housing programs, Blue Haven and Trestle Creek and have provided housing for hundreds of families.  In 2014, we provided a total of 16,780 bed-nights and approximately 60% of those served are children.  Bonner Homeless Transitions provides fully furnished housing, case management, crisis intervention and help with transportation.  Residents receive education and support to learn about budgeting, parenting and employment opportunities.  They can also receive assistance with food, clothing and access to medical services.  85% of our residents move to permanent housing.  Bonner Homeless Transitions is dependent on tax deductible donations, community partnerships and grant funding to provide critical services to children and families in crisis.
