Borax Visitor Center Foundation

A nonprofit organization

3 donors

The Borax Visitor Center is proudly operated by Rio Tinto Minerals-Boron Operations, a division of London-based Rio Tinto.

The Borax Visitor Center Foundation was established to support not-for-profit organizations in Boron and surrounding communities.

Annually the Foundation provides around $20,000 in grants to local not-for-profit organizations and $10,000 in scholarships to Boron High School Seniors.

The Foundation is funded through visitor donations, Rio Tinto Minerals employee contributions, Rio Tinto employee-gift matching and gift store sales.

The grants help to ensure the viability of local organizations essential to the social well-being of the local community. These have included the Senior Center, pre-K-12 education, Desert Search and Rescue, local museums, Little League and community events.

Rio Tinto Minerals and Borax Visitor Center Foundation are proud to perform this important supporting role in our community.

We  hope that our donors give generously so that we can continue to provide much needed financial support for our amazingly dedicated community organizations both now and in years to come.
