With Your Continued Support, Scouting America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader

On February 8, Scouting America officially celebrated 115 years of serving youth, and it’s your dedication and generosity that have helped make this milestone possible. You have helped raise over $18,350 for the local Scouts during Richland Gives since 2015.

Scouting changes lives and strengthens communities. Scouts learn to lead with integrity, serve others, and make a lasting impact in neighborhoods across the country. From building leadership skills to fostering a love for the outdoors, Scouting equips young people with the tools they need to succeed. By supporting your local council, you ensure that more young people in your community have access to these life-changing experiences. Every gift directly impacts local Scouts in creating new adventures, developing essential skills, and becoming the leaders of tomorrow. Scouting is more than a program—it’s a movement that equips youth with the skills, values, and confidence they need to thrive.

We rely on our generous patrons to help us fulfill our mission. Your continued support will enable us to continue our mission of preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

A Scout is Helpful: Helping Others Be Prepared

Scouting gives back to the community. Scouts provide thousands of community service hours in their local communities through Eagle projects and unit service projects.

"DO A GOOD TURN DAILY" is more than our slogan. The Buckeye Council is proud to share the incredible success of our 2025 council-wide service project: Backpack to School. Thanks to the generosity of our Scouts, families, and supporters, more than 1,400 backpacks were donated this past summer. These backpacks, filled with essential school supplies, were delivered to local schools to help students start the school year prepared for success in both school and life.

      •  $360 Donation will send a Scout to Summer Camp. Make a gift to the Campership Fund.
      • $180 Donation will send a Cub Scout to Summer camp. Make a gift to the Campership Fund.
      • $85 Donation will give a youth the opportunity to join Scouting. Make a gift to the Registration Assistance Fund.
      • Consider making a gift to the local council operating fund.
    • For many families, the cost of registration can make it difficult for their children to participate in Scouting. The Registration Assistance Fund changes that. By supporting this fund, you are giving youth the chance to experience the life-changing opportunities that Scouting offers—opportunities to grow as leaders, give back to their communities, and build friendships that last a lifetime.

Your Support Matters!

Please give generously to local Scouting. Your support helps to provide our youth with the skills, values, and confidence they need to thrive. Start giving on November 17 at 7:00 a.m. through December 2 at 7:00 p.m.

Together, we’re not only honoring Scouting’s 115-year legacy - we’re building its future. Help us finish 2025 with the same energy and commitment that has carried Scouting through the last century.

THANK YOU!!!
