Together with your help, the Dan Beard Council will continue to inspire young people to make ethical and moral choices, become self-reliant, and take a prominent role in civic engagement over their lifetimes. As one of the nation’s largest and most effective youth development organizations, the Boy Scouts of America has served young men and women for more than 100 years. Together with your help, the Dan Beard Council will continue to inspire young people to make ethical and moral choices, become self-reliant, and take a prominent role in civic engagement over their lifetimes. Supporting Scouting means being a member of a worldwide movement that stands for certain values and beliefs. Scouting is more than something to do. It’s all about building leaders of strong moral character. As we look for vitality in our communities, we must be willing to put forth the commitment to guarantee that we do not lose our most precious resource – our children. Our objective is to help this generation of young people develop strong moral character, become self-reliant, and be prepared to lead.

The Dan Beard Council is the administrative body of the the Boy Scouts of America in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. The mission of the Dan Beard Council is to prepare more than 23,000 youth and families in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. With a geographic area of 12 counties in Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky, the Dan Beard Council is one of the larger metropolitan councils in the country and the largest youth organization in the area.

Dan Beard Council is 100% locally funded and is its own 501C3. All of the funding needed to deliver our local program comes from local donations, and all of your support stays 100% local to support our Scouts. This also means that that all of your registration fees and magazine fees are sent directly to the National Organization, so our local program is funded in large part by your generous support through Friends of Scouting.
