For over a century, the Scouting program has provided a system that encourages high moral standards, a sense of honor and a motto for life, ultimately building tomorrow's leaders.  AS Scouts work on community projects and outdoor activities, they develop solid team building and leadership skills.  Scouting encourages and expects young people to embrace and live by a code of integrity, character and honorable conduct - all timeless values that build strong leaders.

The Baltimore Area Council is meeting the objective of preparing tomorrow's leaders while serving more than 36,000 young people in Central Maryland.  As a Friend of Scouting, you support young men from 6 to 18 years of age who participate in Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Varsity Scouts.  You also support programs for young women and men, ages 14 to 20, which emphasize career education and high adventure through Exploring and Venturing.
