Meet Anthony a kid who loves being called by his first name. He's not labled or just another kid he's Anthony. He enjoys attending the Club daily and is enrolled in both the after-school and summer programs. Boys & Girls Club of Bisbee is somewhere he knows professionals await for his arrival; where he feels a sense of belonging, positive influence and safe. Anthony is 10 years old and hopes to be a police officer someday. He works on his homework daily with Mr.D, strives to do his best and enjoys the words of encouragement. Anthony enjoys playing pool and being creative in the art room. He comes from a single parent home, mom unemployed and no transportation, Anthony would be limited to his home after school if he was not for the Boys & Girls Club.

Anthony is just one child we share with you today. The Boys & Girls Club of Bisbee is the only youth organization in the rural community of Bisbee serving over 650+ youth annually from Bisbee, Naco and nearby valley communities. We serve the youth and families who need us most.  Families are provided opportunities to flourish by participating in Family Fun Nights, holiday parties and assistance with referrals to community resources.

Entering the blue doors, opens doors to a brighter future for youth ages 6-17 years old. Youth turn to our club for a safe place to spend time during non-school hours and the summer as an alternative to the streets or being home alone. A chance to play, have fun, laugh and learn. Opportunities to build new skills that raise each child’s belief that he or she can succeed and receive recognition for personal accomplishments. Build ongoing relationships with caring adults and connections to new friends in a positive environment, reinforcing a sense of belonging, personal accountability, civility and civic responsibility.

In 2012, the Boys & Girls Club of Bisbee celebrated 10 years of service and continues to provide a safe and positive place. The Club serves youth year-round by providing programs, structured activities focused on the Key Elements of Youth Development in core areas (Art, Technology, Gym, Games Room, Kitchen and Library), serving over 20,000 snacks and meals a year, hands on learning experiences and positive relationships.
