Dear Friends,

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County is closing in on 20 years of service in our community! During this time our network of staff and volunteers have been the ones to count on to provide a positive, fun and safe place for kids to go at the end of the school day. We are dedicated to ensuring that all of our community’s children and teens – especially those who need us most – have access to our Club’s quality programs and services to enhance their lives and positively shape their futures.

“I love the Club and I feel good when I come here. The staff gives me courage and a lot of love. I have so many friends and memories at the Club!”– Manaya, Club Member, age 8

But we’re not just a cool place to hang out every day after school! Our vision is to provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track to:

• Graduate from high school with a plan for the future
• Demonstrate good character and citizenship
• Live a healthy lifestyle

Today’s youth face incredible challenges – obesity, bullying, the temptation of drugs and alcohol, divorce, parents losing their jobs and so much more. Isn’t it nice to know that the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County is there every day for our youngsters and their families!

“The Club is better than my house! I get to play with friends in the gym, I get help with my homework and I love all the programs and activities the staff have me participate in!”– Jordan, Club Member, age 10

We have a membership of over 200 youth between the ages 6- 18 that take participate in our programs and activities on an annual basis. For just $10 per year, a young person can become a member of the Club! Everyday after school, kids get help with homework and a nutritious snack/meal. They also get the chance to run and play in the gym, work on art projects, build skills in our learning lab and much more; and when school isn’t in session, we’re open so working families can be sure their kids are in a safe and fun environment.

"Everybody has high expectations of us and I try to set a good example for our younger kids.”– Nick, Club Member, age 13

The actual cost to provide the programs is over $500 for each child for the school year! So how do we make up the difference and keep costs so affordable for kids and families? Not with large amounts of local, state, or federal government funds – but almost entirely through the generosity of local businesses and community members like you.

With your help no child is turned away!

Your generous donation will help us to continue to welcome and inspire more children who need help each day!
