The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Goals of the Boys & Girls Club are to provide a world-class club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through its doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
The Boys & Girls Club of Washington County has been improving the lives of local children and youth since 1941. The Boys & Girls Club’s success is evident through its popularity and continued growth. The Boys & Girls Club serves girls and boys between the ages of six and 18 at seven locations in Washington County. The local club has earned the “Non-profit Impact Award” twice and has been
among the finalists for that award several times.
The Boys & Girls Club of Washington County continues to grow and expand its services based upon the needs of the community. What started as a sports themed activity for boys in 1941 is now a comprehensive youth development program that provides academic, career, technology, life skill, character, nutrition, fitness, and STEM programs along with social recreation opportunities. While awards and compliments are appreciated, the real impact of the Boys & Girls Club is evident on a daily basis as hundreds of local children and youth participate in their “clubs”.
